Luminary is delighted to announce that we will again be supporting the development of talented young people in digital, through the Luminary Tech Visionary Award. The award is part of the 7NEWS Victorian Young Achiever Awards.
The Tech Visionary award is a celebration of the next wave of digital innovators – young people harnessing technology to create ground-breaking ideas that have a positive impact on the way we live. Entry is open to all young people throughout Victoria up to and including 29 years of age as of 31 December 2020.
The winner will receive $1000 in cash and a $1000 Bartercard account from Wheelton Philanthropy and Budget Rent A Car, as well as a trophy.
“It’s time to highlight the next wave of visionaries – young people harnessing technology to lead the way with ideas that make the world a better place," said Luminary CEO Marty Drill. "As a digital agency, Luminary strives to use digital technology to create experiences that make the human experience brighter. Through the Tech Visionary Award, Luminary is supporting young people who are inspiring or influencing others in the field of digital. They may have a fully functioning product or service, or it might just be a killer idea that’s just waiting for its moment to shine. The award recognises young people demonstrating creative thinking and making a significant contribution and social impact through the use of digital."
The Luminary Tech Visionary Award is now in its second year. "The applicants last year were so inspiring – in fact they inspired us so much that we interviewed each of the finalists and published their stories on our website," said Marty. "I was 21 when I started Luminary and that's a big factor in why we sponsor these awards. We believe young people can make a huge difference. We really want to foster their enthusiasm. We want young people to be rewarded for taking a risk and challenging the status quo."

How to enter
To submit a nomination, simply go to https://awardsaustralia.com/young-achiever-awards/vic/ and click the gold ‘Nominate Now’ button. Entries close on Tuesday 2nd February 2021.
If you would like to recognise a friend, work colleague or someone you may know for this award, you can provide their contact details here. All you to do is complete a simple form by clicking the 'Refer someone' button – it takes about two minutes. The Awards team will then get in contact with your nominee, and have them complete the questions online.
