Emmanuel Tissera

Technical Lead, Umbraco MVP

B.Sc (Hons) Computing & Information Systems (London Met)

As Technical Lead, Emmanuel works closely with our clients while providing leadership and mentoring to the development team.

Emm knew his calling early on in life. At the age of 15, he wrote an essay on his ambition to become a software engineer. A Microsoft Certified Professional, his software and web development career officially began in 2002. He started to work with content management systems in 2004 and is currently certified on Umbraco, Kentico Xperience, Sitecore and Kentico Kontent. Prior to joining Luminary, Emm held roles as Technical Lead for Emirates Airline and Senior Software Engineer at Australian Associated Press. His areas of expertise include Kentico Kontent, Umbraco Heartcore and other headless CMSs.

He has been awarded for his exceptional talent with a Golden Najm (Star) Award from Emirates and a Finalist position at the AAP Awards in recognition of his excellence for innovation. In 2020, Emm was also recognised as a Umbraco MVP. A self-proclaimed bookworm, when he's not working he's likely to be curled up on the couch with a novel.
