Dr Marnie Crook

UX Researcher

BDes (Industrial Design) (Hons), PhD (Design) (Swinburne)

Driven by natural curiosity, Marnie excels in identifying and solving problems to help people and organisations achieve their goals.

Marnie solves problems with products and services using design research activities. Through talking to people, and observing and analysing their behaviour, she uncovers motivations, thoughts and needs towards products and services.

With a particular interest in ethnographic research and behavioural research, she has held the roles of Senior Service Designer, Senior Design Researcher, and University Teacher. Her career highlights include creating a new and enriching experience for students with the redesign of the Swinburne University website, contributing to a safer world with the redesign of the 1800Respect website, and uplifting BHP's safety control operations for miners across Australia.

When she's not solving UX problems, Marnie can be found indulging her love of photography, walking, mountain biking and building Lego.
