Primarily working within cross-functional discovery and Agile product development teams, the UX researcher is responsible for the discovery of customer insights and ensuring they are translated into the products delivered by Luminary.
Key responsibilities
- Workshops and design thinking methods
- Quantitative and qualitative user research methods
- Converting customer insight into design opportunities
- Concept and usability testing
- Persona development and journey mapping
- Requirements gathering
- Information architecture (cardsorting and testing)
- Drive high-level discussions on the role of user experience, research and design within clients’ businesses
- Collaborate with and provide support to members of the account management and production teams
Essential skills & experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Workshop facilitation experience
- At least 3-5 years experience in digital, user experience, and/or design and research roles
- Experience working within cross-functional teams
- Experience working within cross-functional teams and the ability to confidently speak to partnering crafts, such as UXD, design, content, strategy and development
- The ability to remain calm under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude
- Previous exposure to Agile and waterfall delivery models
- An ability to work autonomously and take responsibility
Handy skills & experience
- Wireframing and prototyping (advantageous)
- Service design (advantageous)
