With real-time inventory visibility and intelligent order orchestration, Fluent Order Management helps reduce cancellations, minimise split shipments, and streamline fulfilment across every channel, including click-and-collect, ship-from-store, and omnichannel returns.

The background

Fluent Commerce approached Luminary as they wanted to move away from their existing documentation platform and implement a new platform that better suited their needs, which had evolved over time. Now a leader in the space, Fluent Commerce required a seamless digital experience for their customers and students who were looking to enhance their e-commerce with current and comprehensive content.

Their original platform did not support a direct API integration, which meant there was a lot of double-handling of content between the CMS and LMS, and they wanted Luminary to assist in developing stronger integrations and easier control of content.

The goal was to have the new LMS directly connected to their headless CMS (Kontent.ai) so that all training content could be created, updated, and managed in one place without switching between separate platforms.

What we did

The Luminary team began with a short technical discovery phase, evaluating five potential LMS candidates and running onboarding sessions with each of the shortlisted vendors. Working closely with Fluent Commerce's content and operations teams, we facilitated scoping and brainstorming workshops, followed by prototyping reviews of API integration. The aim was to determine a platform that satisfied Fluent Commerce’s current technical needs as well as provide features that aligned with their longer term digital roadmap.

From there, we designed the solution architecture and delivered custom web development to build a seamless integration between the chosen LMS and Fluent Commerce’s existing CMS, ensuring content could be managed in one place without duplication or manual handling.

The result

Fluent Commerce came away with greater management efficiency and a stronger foundation on which to continue their mission to support its growing user base. By refining the certifications and training content that Fluent Commerce provides and leveraging data and analytics from their website, Fluent Commerce customers will now get the most value out of their platform.
